Zanix updates
When a new version of Zanix is ready for your company, administrators see a window with what's new after signing in.
- Update now moves your company to the new version. A full backup is taken first. For a minute or two everyone in your company sees "Zanix is being updated", and the page opens Zanix again by itself. You get a notification when it's done.
- Later closes the window; you're asked again the next time you sign in.
- A required update shows a deadline. If you haven't updated by then, it's applied automatically at that time.
- If you skipped some updates, the window says how many are waiting (for example "2 updates are waiting (1.0.1, 1.0.2)") and shows what's new in each, newest first. Update now installs them all at once, straight to the newest.
Which version am I on?
Click your picture or initials at the top right: the menu shows Zanix 1.0.2 (with update waiting when there is one). Click it to open the Zanix version page: the version your company runs and since when, and every waiting update with what's new in it. Everyone can open this page; administrators also see Update now there.
Check for updates on that page looks again for new versions. It also brings the update window back if you chose Later.
If something goes wrong during an update, your data is put back exactly as it was before. You stay on the old version, and Zanix's team is told so they can fix it before you try again. Other companies are never affected by your update.
