Attachments and storage
This page isn't translated yet; here it is in English.
You can attach files to any record: a scanned contract on a supplier, photos on a job card, the PDF a customer sent with an order.
Attach files
Open the record. Under the form, in Attachments, click Attach files, choose one or more files, and click Submit.
- Each file can be up to 25 MB.
- Allowed: images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP), PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, CSV, text, and ZIP/RAR/7z archives. Other kinds, such as web pages or programs, aren't accepted, for safety.
- Click a file's name to open it. Images and PDFs open in the browser; other files download.
- To remove a file, click the bin icon.
Adding and removing files is recorded in the record's Activity. You need permission to change a record to attach or remove files, and permission to see it to open them.
Company logo
Open your company (Setup → Company), attach your logo (PNG, JPG or WEBP), and click Use as logo next to it. The logo then appears at the top of your printed documents and PDFs.
Storage (administrators)
Each company has a storage limit, set by its plan. Settings → Storage shows how much is used and lists every file, largest first, with the record it belongs to, so you can remove files you don't need. If a file doesn't fit, Zanix tells you how much is used and how big the file is.
Item images
Open the item, attach a picture of it (PNG, JPG or WEBP), and click Use as item image next to it. A small preview shows in the item's attachments. An item has one image; choosing another replaces it.
The image prints on a quotation, sales order, delivery note or sales invoice when its Show Item Images When Printed box is ticked: each line gets a small picture of its item. Leave the box off for a plain document. To have it ticked on every new document, tick it in My form → My default values; an administrator can make it the default for a role or the whole company. When you make an order or invoice from another document, the choice comes along.
