Languages
This page isn't translated yet; here it is in English.
Zanix ERP works in Kurdish (Sorani), English and Arabic. Kurdish and Arabic screens read from right to left.
Choose your language
Open your menu (top right) → Language, choose one, and click Submit. The setting is yours only: your colleagues keep theirs. An administrator can also set a user's language under Users and permissions → Users.
The language you choose for the screen doesn't limit printing: any document can be printed in any language (see Printing).
Translate your form labels (administrators)
Standard labels, such as "Company Name", come already translated by Zanix. Labels you added yourself, such as custom fields, need your own translation.
Open Settings → Form labels. Each row is a field of one of your forms, with a box for each language:
- Type the label in each language. It's saved when you leave the box.
- Leave a box empty to use Zanix's own translation. The grey text in the box shows what that is.
- Use the Form filter to work through one form at a time.
For the Zanix team: the translation editor
All of Zanix's own words (screens, messages, buttons) are translated once, by people, for every customer. Owner portal → Translations:
- Choose a language at the top. The line under it shows how much is done, and how many strings are out of date because the English changed after they were translated.
- The list starts with missing strings. Use the Status filter to see out-of-date or finished ones, and Part of the product to work on one area.
- Type the translation in the box next to the English. It's saved when you leave the box and appears for everyone right away.
- Words starting with a colon, like
:attributeor:count, are filled in by Zanix with names and numbers. Keep them exactly as they are, in the right place in your sentence. Zanix refuses a translation that drops one. - Strings marked From Filament/Laravel came translated with the software Zanix is built on. You can improve them; your version is kept when Zanix is updated.
Adding a new language, for example Kurdish (Badini) or Persian, needs no programming: the Zanix team adds it with its direction (left-to-right or right-to-left), then translates it here.
Names in several languages
Some names can have a value in each language, such as an item's name, a unit or a warehouse. These fields have a translate button at the end. Click it and type the name in Kurdish, Arabic and any other enabled language. Prints in a language use that name (an Arabic invoice shows the Arabic item name), pickers show it in your language, and searching in any language finds it. A language left empty uses the main name.
